Tourism – a sector that allows, more than any other sector, the equal inclusion and treatment of all
Tourism is a sector that allows to work in-situ or from home, full time or part time, and where no job can be done better according to the Gender of the person.
It is as well an economic activity where the person/client – the tourist – is not associated to one gender or another. Therefore, why there are differences in salaries or the type of positions to be able to reach according to the gender? What will happen if we do the exercise of hiring the person only because of her/his experience and not because of their photo, gender, ethnic-origin, nationality, etc.?
I invite all of you who have in your hands the power to hire someone in the tourism sector, to please take this into consideration as one of our key contributions to the Celebration of the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development of the United Nations.
