About the Project:

“WeCan” is a national platform for fostering cross learning among donors and nutrition partners for collaboration and leveraging on each other’s experience for scaling up intervention for optimal utilization of resources and time, to increase efficiencies. WeCan works on the thematic area of Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) keeping it in line with the priorities of the national flagship program on nutrition, POSHAN Abhiyaan.

Job Description:

The Program Manager will support in program operations at the national and state level. S/he will work in close coordination with the National Team Lead, and national and state team members in providing support for execution of the project as planned. The Program Manager will ensure smooth overall coordination internally between the different functions of the team which includes communication, partnership and IT, and externally with other donors, development partners and government ministries / department.  The program manager shall also be responsible for donor compliance. In addition, the program manager will also provide support for knowledge product development and dissemination. The role shall provide overall backend support to WeCan team at large. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Program management and operation
    • Support National and State teams to develop work plan, track progress and periodically update workplans.
    • Tracking results framework to ensure output/outcomes are timely met
    • Track deliverables and ensure submission on time as per contract
    • Submission of monthly progress report and annual report (technical and financial) to the client
    • Develop project financial and administrative guidelines, review and recommend changes as and when requires, and seek approval from the concerned authority
    • Develop project budget and review on a periodic basis, and develop cost Budget v/s profitability report
    • Update burn sheet on monthly basis to track billable utilization as per budget
  • Logistics and Coordination
    • Support the national team, and state team as and when required, with providing logistics support for rollout of activities as planned
    • Support the teams in planning and organizing events as and when required
    • Lead / support WeCan team to coordinate with other donors, development partners and government ministries / department for executing activities as planned
    • Initiate, develop and execute vendor contracts, as and when required, for all WeCan related activities  
  • Admin and People Management
    • Developing, initiating, tracking and updating contracts in coordination with coordination with respective functions within the team
    • Regular follow-up for timely submission and payment of invoices
    • Timely submission of timesheet for release of professional fee
    • Develop ToR/JD as per need and coordinate with HR for advertisement, shortlisting, interview and rolling of contracts
    • Support National team lead in planning induction and orientation of the team / team member
  • Technical Support
    • Lead / provide support in developing various knowledge products that includes practice insights, research studies, case studies, policy notes, newsletter etcetera  

Qualification & Experience:

5 to 8 years of experience in Project Manangement and Program Coordination.

MBA, Masters in Social Sciences and Economics
