About the project:

IPE Global Limited, a leading development sector organisation, is seeking the services of an experienced Information Technology Expert for “WeCan” project to develop, lead and manage web-based portals and webinar platforms for sharing knowledge and insight with nutrition partners and simplifying use of data for government.

“WeCan” is a national platform for fostering cross learning among donors and nutrition partners for collaboration and leveraging on each other’s experience for scaling up intervention for optimal utilization of resources and time, to increase efficiencies. WeCan works on the thematic area of Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) keeping it in line with the priorities of the national flagship program on nutrition, POSHAN Abhiyaan.

Job Description:

  • You will lead the process of WeCan’s Nutrition Platform for mapping nutrition partners and guiding them at all the stages of development and rollout, by providing consistent feedback on various components of the Platform including the design, prototype and dashboards.
  • You will need to develop a mechanism to constantly update the platform and make to interactive while ensuring the Platform is user-friendly.
  • You will be involved in developing terms of reference for development of any web portal as per the requirements in the project and take lead in hiring vendor after ensuring due diligence.
  • You would be responsible for vendor management including timely delivery of deliverables; being the IT lead you will plan, manage, coordinate and execute all webinars, and share reports with WeCan’s National Team Leader for donor reporting. You will also develop benchmark criteria to measure the effectiveness of the webinars, and continuously work on improvements as and when required.
  • You will manage regular administrative tasks of the project related to web products and carryout any other task as assigned by the Team Lead.
  • Last but not the least, you will be expected to be proactive in taking initiative to collaborate with similar minded organizations / agencies to bring innovation while increasing the reach of the platform.

Qualification & Experience:

Essential:

  • You should be an IT professional, having a post-graduation in information technology / computer application / engineering or another relevant field, with previous experience of using IT4D.
  • You must be well versed with development of dashboards, website management, working with vendors and partners in managing web and other tech enabled platforms, tracking web performance metrics, and conducting webinars.
  •  You should have excellent analytical skills and the ability to summarize disparate information in a clear and concise manner. You must be an expert in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Any understanding of public health, nutrition and nutrition programming in India will be an added advantage.
  • You should ideally have over 6 years of experience in a similar profile.  

Desirable:

You should be empathetic, sensitive, patient, goal-oriented, self-managed, open to feedback / suggestions, accepting of varying view points, willing to learn as well as unlearn and, able to work individually as well as part of teams and willing to regularly update yourself and your team mates; present nationally and at state level.

Contract Period:

This position is based in Delhi and would report to the Team Leader – WeCan. The current contract will be offered till December 2020, which may get extended, based on donor or organizational decisions and your performance.
