Dr Amit Bhanot has more than 18 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, blended finance, commercial and general management across South Asia and East Africa for Development Programs. As a Technical Advisor and Director, he has broad spectrum of expertise in managing projects with USAID, DFID, BMGF and Corporate funding in Health, Nutrition and WASH sectors. Previously, Dr Amit was Senior Regional Advisor in GRM/Futures Group Europe (now Palladium) between 2012 and 2017, providing technical input and oversight across a range of Health and HIV programs (including NCDs) in India, Cambodia, Kenya, Indonesia and Pakistan. He served as Chief of Party (2013-2016) to DFID RH/FP Framework Total Market Approach Ujjwal Project in India for analyzing sustainability analytics for healthcare social enterprises. He was also the Project Director on the DFID Kenya Delivering Family Planning in Rural Kenya, and Indonesia Mampu Cegah Risiko Tinggi partnership for Positive Impact for developing models of private sector engagement. He was also the in-country Team Leader for feasibility analysis and structuring the Utkrisht India Development Impact Bond for Maternal Health launched by USAID and Merck for Mothers. Prior to this, he was Business Development Director for Population Services International in India, accountable for strategic direction for PSI in more than 12 states in India and execution of the business development strategy. Amit has done MD and MBBS from University of Delhi.
