Barbara Schott represents IPE Global in Myanmar and oversees all programme and support activities including donor relations, security management, project implementation and implementation of the country strategy of IPE Global in conjunction with Senior Management.

Barbara has over 13 years of experience as a Project Manager and Advisor in International Development. She has an excellent understanding of the bilateral and multilateral donor agenda and has been working in Southern and Eastern Africa, the Balkans and South-East Asia. Her thematic expertise largely centerson private sector development, economic growth, governance, tourism development and capacity building of civil society. Barbara has a keen interest in green growth and climate change topics.

She has been based in Yangon (Myanmar) since 2013. During her time in Myanmar, Barbara has managed to build up a profound knowledge of the country and its people. Her continuous presence in Myanmar over the last three years has also allowed her to build strong ties with the 'on-the-ground' donor and consultancy community. She is an associate with Tourism Transparency and the Myanmar Institute for Integrated Development. Over the past decade, she has been working as freelance consultant and Senior Project Manager with IID/MIID in Myanmar,GRM International (UK), ACE international Consultants (SP) and ICON-INSTITUT GmbH (GER).

Barbara Schott holds M. Sc.in Management from University of Bristol. She also holds B.A. in International Tourism Management from University of Bristol and is a registered UNWTO volunteer.
